STILL HERE / NOG HIER, a new play by Jade Ludski, is a bilingual portrait of love, language and lingering goodbyes. It premieres at Kaapstad Toneelhuis on 26 & 27 June 2025.

Set in a small apartment over the course of a single weekend, the bilingual one-act play captures the intimate unraveling of a relationship caught between endings and what still remains. Told through the eyes of Jess and Hannes—two lovers questioning whether to stay or part ways—the play explores emotional tension, mismatched timing, and the complicated tenderness of letting go.

As Hannes slips between English and Afrikaans, the use of both languages becomes a poetic reflection of emotional distance and unspoken connection. Still Here / Nog Hier invites audiences into a deeply human story about love, silence, and the words we wish we’d said.

STILL HERE / NOG HIER was developed through a collaborative workshop process with actors Alex Silberbauer and Dwayne Vorster.

Performance Dates: 26 & 27 June 2025.

Venue: Kaapstad Toneelhuis, Cape Town 61 Loop Street.

Bookings via Quicket.
