PRESS: Marc Lottering back onstage at Theatre on the Bay this July

Pieter Toerien Productions

'So, I Wrote That Musical' is Marc Lottering’s brand new stand-up comedy show, running at Pieter Toerien's Theatre On The Bay from 18 to 29 July, 2023.

Marc has recently come out of his smash hit musical 'Aunty Merle Things Get Real'. Seen by more than 40 000 people, it was the third musical penned by Lottering.

In his new solo stand-up show, one of South Africa’s favourite comedians shares hilarious stories as he reflects on the fascinating process of moving between the worlds of stand-up comedy and musicals. And as is to be expected, Lottering will weave in his views on the madness of current South African life.

Marc Lottering is currently in Johannesburg, performing at Montecasino, and ready to come home to Cape Town!

Audience social media response:

"Lottering’s newest offering, “So, I Wrote That Musical,” is a masterful stand-up show that takes us on an uproarious journey through his forays into different performance mediums. But more than that, it’s a show that shines a spotlight on the quirky, sometimes absurd realities of South African life that make us who we are." - Shaun Zietsman, The Something Guy.

"You are just too good to be true … can’t take my eyes off you! Thank you for last night I laughed and laughed and laughed!" - Gail Jaffit Leibman, Facebook.
