During January 2018 Legend Productions will be bringing tribute to war veterans, soldiers and police officers in the form of a vibrant musical called HEROES – Tribute to a Soldier.
In 2010 Sean Dryden, founder of the group, started a Community Theatre NGO, developing young people all around Cape Town on stage. This is not only about having the opportunity performing on stage and learning how to act and sing, but to develop one self’s social skills and personal development using role plays and real life scenarios.
One of the group’s most recent productions, The Disney musical, Hunchback of Notre Dame, staged at the Bellville Civic Centre 2014, claimed several awards at the latest Cape Amateur Theatre Awards (CATA), inter alia the auspicious Cape Times Cup for Most Adventurous Production of the year.
Sean, a Bellville resident, is one of the younger breed who likes the challenges of producing. He successfully moulds a cast of 40
actors/singers into an enthusiastic group of entertainers.
