Press: Red Riding Hood at the Nassau Theatre

The Lilliput Children’s Theatre Company will be performing one of their most popular shows, RED RIDING HOOD  at the Nassau Theatre for the October school holidays. Red Riding Hood will run from Monday the 5th October until Saturday the 10th October at 10:00am at the Nassau Theatre Centre at Groote Schuur High School, in Palmyra Road, Newlands.

RED RIDING HOOD – This delightful fairytale follows the well-loved story of the naughty little girl who disobeys her mother and instead of taking the safe road to visit her granny, goes into the wood where she encounters a big bad wolf (in this adaptation a rather silly Loopy-de-Loop type who is an ex Music-Hall star). Red Riding Hood learns some important lessons along the way and as in all good fairytales lives happily ever after. Highlights of the show include a Rock and Roll Granny and the Wolf's striptease will have the kids rolling about with laughter. This enchanting fairytale classic is full of laughter, audience participation and is great fun for the whole family to enjoy.

Red Riding Hood is adapted and directed by Elton John Duffy, who has been producing Children's Theatre and delighting audiences for the past 22 years. This show stars Desle McConney (Athlone) as Red Riding Hood, Liande Valentyn (Plumstead) as Granny, Rachelle Kruger (Parow) as Jimmy and Elton John Duffy (Edgemead) as the Big Bad Wolf.

Tickets are R60,00 per person. Book at Computicket. For school block booking prices or queries, please call Elton on 083 364 8284 or (021) 558-2650 or For more information visit
