Just as Spectre, the newest addition to the James Bond movie franchise, is due to hit our screens, Pinelands Players presents Shaken, not Stirred in celebration of 50 years of Bond themes. This glamorous revue takes audience members on a journey through 50 years of 007 music, from Dr No in 1962 through to Skyfall in 2012.
Direction is by Kyla Thorburn, who is well known for many excellent productions such as Annie and Guys and Dolls, both staged at Artscape, and last year’s Once Upon a Time.com. She has assembled a talented cast of 11 men and women who will be singing their way through an exciting line up of those well-known themes from Bond movies such as Goldfinger, The Living Daylights, For Your Eyes Only and Casino Royale. The revue reflects on the the thrills, the passion, the excitement, the beautiful women and the ever so debonair Bond, James Bond. The performers are accompanied by a live 8 piece band under the musical direction of Justin Wardle and dazzling visuals whirl audiences through 50 years of movie memories.
